Rich and Rob are the MOST awesome guys!!! Their knowledge of trees and approach to grooming and treating is with the upmost attention ... and if you are a "tree hugger" kindness. Rob took down a large pine (5 hr. job) in the front of our home and his consideration of the tree and the surrounding shrubbery and environment is to be applauded. With out a DOUBT you will be well pleased with their expertise.

Being new to the area I was in need of a tree removal service so i went to Yelp for my search, this is where I found Mr.Gwyn, I had 3 estimates and chose my middle bid, I did read the reviews on Yelp and having meet Rich when he came to my home to give me my bid i decide to give him my business even with some concern based on one of the reviews on Yelp, all I can say is that not only is Rich a very nice man I found very honest and friendly and was very helpful with recommendations on my tree removal. His crew was very efficient and friendly and went the extra mile for me. I highly recommend and Gwyn's tree service will have my future business.

This is by far the best tree service we have ever used in this area and we used a few. Rich and his crew are very knowledgeable about all aspects of trees. Their prices are very reasonable and the work was done as promised. They're very friendly and patient since I had a lot of questions and appreciated them taking the time to explain. We will use them again in the spring as we have another tree to come down. We highly recommend Rich and his crew for excellent work and service! Thank you for a job well done!

I bought a new house in an old neighborhood with a lot of old trees. It appeared that no one had looked at them for a decade or so. I called Rich because of the positive write-ups at Yelp. Rich was great. He pointed out an infection on a couple of my old blue spruce trees and some pruning needed on a couple of old fruit trees. He walked the yards with my wife and I; and described the plants and the status of their health. He pointed out that most of my trees were actually very healthy. That was a relief because several of them are really large. And, I was afraid they need to be taken out before they got blown down by a heavy Nevada wind. Rich was pleasant and very informative. He does not try to unnecessarily get you to take plants out because it makes work for him or his crew. I have been with nursery people before that are just trying to sell you something every five minutes. I have since sent him out to one of my other properties. He diagnosed a pine to have root disease. And, I had it removed. I want to point out that Rich has a good deal of formal nursery/arborist education from UNR. Over the last couple of years, I have dealt with two different prominent landscaping business', and regrettably, over time, found out that neither one of them actually knew what they were talking about. He has got the knowledge, he is easy to be around, and his prices are reasonable. I strongly recommend him.

I went to the Extension office, no help. I had 2 other tree specialist's come over, no help. I called Rich Gwyn and he wasn't sure what was wrong so he researched the problem until he solved it!! I have since used him 2 more times and I could not be happier. He responds and he really, really cares about tree's and plants. I also think he needs to charge more..he is worth it!!!
